We have had a great start to swimming this week! Our instructors have been amazing at teaching us how to stay afloat and blow bubbles. The hard part has been swimming with our feet off the ground. We are looking forward to learning boat safety and life jacket safety skills next week.

Cook Island Language WEEK
In preparation for Cook Island Language week, Hoiho has been working on creating Rarotongan drumming beat patterns to celebrate Cook Island culture. We have also been making head leis and created a dance to go along with our drumming. We are so excited to perform at Assembly this Friday and hope you can make it.

Fear Factor
On July the 30th the Hoiho team played Fear Factor. We were put in teams and blindfolded. We had to try different jelly beans. They would either taste disgusting or delicious. Juzaiah tasted a red and orange jelly bean and Miss Bound said "it will taste like strawberry and banana or DEAD FISH!" His face scrunched up and twisted, he looked like he was going to vomit but he didn't. Siobhan had a black one and it was going to taste like chocolate pudding or skunk spray.
